About Us

Venice Tile  was established in August of 1988, as a Tennessee corporation.

It originally began with our president David Gicking, who became a professional tile installer at the age of 17. He accumulated  a great deal of knowledge about working with tile & stone.  

David took his knowledge and expertise and started his own tile installation business. After many years of installation, he decided to open his own tile distribution company. This company soon grew  into a showroom featuring quality stone and unique tile.

The range of imported material increased to include the finest quality in granite, marble, limestone, slate and travertine from Italy, Greece, Brazil, Portugal and all over the world. Tile displays broadened to include antique stone such as reclaimed Antique French Terracotta and Biblical Stone from Jerusalem.

After adding a top design staff to the mix , his vision and success turned Venice Tile into the Showroom & Design Center it is today.  

Our client base has grown from our Tennessee area,  to now include Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and most states in the southeast region. Our business has become the leading source to the design and architectural community as well as to contractors and homeowners.
